Bi-Lo Coupon Policy: Answers from Corporate

Well ladies, it is a sad day for couponers. I finally got a call-back from our Regional Manager yesterday, and he confirmed that those brief, halcyon days of using competitor coupons at Bi-Lo - is over. He said that Bi-Lo does not want to lose our business to Publix, and that corporate is looking to possibly change some policies in the future, but for now, it’s a no-go.
If you have had an experience lately in which Bi-Lo did accept a small number of competitor coupons, it was likely for this reason: the regional manager insisted that the stores try their best to make the customer happy, even if it means accepting a few competitor coupons for which they will not be reimbursed. So yes, if you show up with a Target coupon in hand amidst all your other coupons, then as determined by a manager’s discretion, they might let it slide. Personally, $0.50 here or there would not be worth the hassle and possible embarassment of that ordeal.

I did find out that they now double coupons up to $0.65, which I had not known previously. Woot.
