☀HOT☀ Bi-Lo Moneymaker & FREE Cereal! UPDATED
After re-examining the FLIPs fine-print (thanks to a reader comment), I realize that although my Bi-Lo accepted 8 of them in one day, they were not required to, nor should I have tried to use so many. I’ve always known the fine print on the FLIPs says “Limit 1 Print Per Day”. (If you print 1 per day, you could still have a bunch on shopping day!) And below that, it says “1 Per Purchase of Specified Item” (Most coupons say that, it just means 1 Q/1 Item, 2 Q’s/2 Items..) But somehow I’ve always missed that it also says “…per transaction, per customer, per day” I don’t know if this is a relatively new add-on, or if it’s always been there, but the fact remains that it’s there. Here’s a copy & paste of the fine print from a Food Lion Printable:
LIMIT 1 (ONE) PRINT PER COUPON
Good only at Food Lion. Limit one use per purchase of specified product,
per transaction, per person, per day. Void if copied, sold, or exchanged.
Do not double or triple. Not applicable towards the purchase of tobacco,
alcohol, gift cards, postage stamps or services. Minimum purchase must
exceed coupon value. No cash value.
With that in mind- here’s an amended deal on how you can still get a GREAT deal on the Bi-Lo/Kelloggs Rebate with cereal:

Bi-Lo is running a “Kelloggs Back-To-School Cash” promotion wherein you buy 8 participating Kellogg’s/Sunshine/Eggo products and get a $10 rebate in the form of a cash card. Awesome reader, Angela, wrote in to tell us all how to turn this into an easy moneymaker! (Also, I tried it on APD-40 yesterday, and it worked great!) Check it out:
- Buy 8 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal, which are currently BOGO(= $2 or less per box)
- Use (1) Food Lion $1 Off Kellogg’s Printables
- The mfr coupons you use with the FLIPs will vary, just use the best mishmash of any of the following:
- $1.50/2 Frosted Mini Wheats Printable (Print 2 sets) These aren’t the best ones to use, but if you can’t find anymore $5 Off boxes….
- Pick the specially marked boxes that say “$5 Savings Pack Inside”. Stand in the aisle and locate the coupons in your boxes- they are awesome! In each packet you’ll find assorted breakfast coupons including: $1 Off Any Kellogg’s Cereal, $1 Off (Specific) Kellogg’s Cereals, $1 Off Milk wyb Kellogg’s Cereal, $1 Off Fruit wyb Kellogg’s Cereal, etc… Using any one of these per box will make knock the price of the box down to 68¢-98¢.

- After your receipt- wait for it- will print out a Kellogg’s Rebate Form to get $10 back. You’ve just got 8 boxes of cereal for free! And possibly made some tiny overage…
- If you buy 10 boxes instead of 8, and ask the cashier to print out 2 receipts, you can submit them for both the Kelloggs Fuel for School Rebate AND the Bi-Lo/Kelloggs Back-To-School Cash Card!!
On to moneymaker #2!!
*********************************************************************************************************************
Through August 16, buy $5 of any of the above products, and you will get a $1 Off Your Next Order print-out. Peter Pan Peanut Butter is on the list, and is currently BOGO for $2.70 (= $1.35 Each).
Print out 2 sets of the 50¢/1 Peter Pan Coupons. These will double, making your total for both 70¢, and giving you a $1 Off Printout! As if that wasn’t nice enough, the August All You Magazine has a coupon inside for Free (1) Crayola 24 Crayons wyb (2) Peter Pan PB!
★Please call your local Bi-Lo before heading out, to make sure they will accept FLIPs. I just spoke to E. Brainerd & Ooltewah (who said “YES”) and HWY 58( who said “Okay…but not too many”) and Signal Mtn & Hixson (who said “NO”). I think it’s imperative to ask for a mgr. when calling, because many of the cashiers don’t even know about competitor coupon acceptance.

2.

I called the bilo on apd 40 and they told me that they were not taking competitor coupons?! But the one on ocoee crossing said yes that they were. Have you had any luck with the one on apd 40 taking them?
Andrea- I went to the APD-40 Bi-Lo yesterday to do this deal, and I asked the cashier as I rolled up whether or not they took Food Lion coupons. She said, “Yup.” Bi-Lo’s coupon policy for our area is pretty vague, but basically if a customer shows up with some competitor coupons, they’ll take them- they’re tired of losing customers to Publix. But they don’t like to advertise it- apparently not even to their own workers. When you go, stop by Customer Service, tell them you’ve spoken to the District MGR (I have- twice!) and that he told you they accept them (THEY DO!). You should be able to find someone who will support you in this. I personally, just like to head straight for the teenage cashiers….
I went to print out the PB coupon and ConAgra has taken it off of their site.
Please remember that FLIPS (Food Lion Internet Printables) are only to be used the same way they are at Food Lion – limit one per customer, per day. This applies at Publix and BiLo.
This is true, in fact, although I sometimes forget because so often stores accept more than 1. First of all: FLIPs are supposed to be 1 Print per day- and I figure I can either print out a page every day and let them pile up until I go shopping, or print them all out the day before- I don’t really see a moral dilemma on this one. But in the fine print, it does say to use “1 per purchase of specified product”. I have always taken that to mean 1 FLIP/1 item, 2 FLIPSs/2 items, etc… But we can’t expect stores to take handfuls of these things, so I guess if they do accept them, then great, and if not- be aware that this is common.
I went to my bi-lo in cleveland today to get the cereal, and figured out another deal while there. If you use the .50/2 peter pan peanut butter coupons that were in sunday’s paper, you can get a pretty good deal. I bought 6 jars of peanut butter, and used 3 coupons. Along with the cereal and some pizza rolls, my total came to 5.45 after coupons, and i got a 5.00 catalina! As long as they ring everything up before they swipe your bonus card, you will get a 5.00 catalina….so, for 1 box Rice Krispies, 1 box mini-wheats, 3 pizza rolls, and 6 jars of peanut butter i basically paid .45 !
jamie,
i feel bad now! i am ashamed to say i didn’t really even look at the fine print i just got so excited about the deal that i forgot to check all bases
i apologize! hopefully still a good deal though without so many of them!
aw man!!! i’m so sorry!!! i didn’t realize this either when i used them
Angela- Don’t worry at all! I sincerely appreciate the tip, and I was so excited that I didn’t stop and investigate either- I wasn’t talking about you when I said “reader comment”, just that someone had made the polite reminder that FLIP’s were 1 per day.
